April has been a weird month to say the least. I can’t decide if the month is flying by or dragging on. Thankfully, signs of spring are in sight and I am trying to stay positive as we prepare for another month of staying at home. Anyway, this is the first edition of my monthly newsletter, Intentional Connection. My goal is to share with you 5 cool things I found this past month that can help amplify your nonprofit marketing.
1. Nonprofit Marketing Essentials
Okay, so not every month will be a shameless plug for me, but in April I released my nonprofit marketing guides and it was a huge deal for me. Check them out here if you haven’t already.
Get started with the free lite version or purchase the premium version and receive access to 13 worksheets, including a template for you to complete your marketing plan.
2. #GivingTuesdayNow
In response to COVID-19, Giving Tuesday has announced a new global day of giving. #GIVINGTUESDAYNOW will take place on May 5th, 2020. Giving Tuesday has created a toolkit to help with fundraising. I know all nonprofits are affected by COVID-19, but I recommend treading lightly on this effort. If you provide essential services, 1000% go for it, but if you do not offer essential services, I’d recommend considering stepping back from this opportunity and allow essential organizations to benefit.
3. Bloomerang Coronavirus Advice and Resources
Bloomerang has an excellent resource page for nonprofits. There you can find case studies, appeal templates, funding opportunities and more. I definitely recommend checking it out and bookmarking the page as it is updated regularly.
4. The Fabulous App
Not nonprofit related, but I downloaded this app at the beginning of the stay at home order and it has been super helpful with sticking to a routine and remembering to take moments throughout the day for self-care. The app also includes music to listen to when you want to be productive, calm or working out. If you’re trying to work on forming good habits while at home, I can’t say enough good things about this app! Click here to learn more.
